Fox has canceled Marvel drama The Gifted and comedy Rel, according to Variety.

Both shows are produced by 20th Century Fox TV, which is now owned by Disney and operates separately from Fox's TV network, despite previously being corporate siblings - a factor which may have contributed to the cancellations.

Deadline reports that The Gifted could "find a new home within the Disney family" of networks, including Freeform or Hulu (Disney owns a majority stake in the streaming service).

I would have though Disney+ would be more likely.

I liked it but won't miss it too much. Some of the special effects were/ looked a bit cheap IMHO, I found that distracting.

Me too. It was entertaining enough but not great. Some of the characters were good. I hated the visual effect whenever Reeva used her power.

Well, I guess that makes me the hat trick, since I pretty much feel the same way. It was entertaining for the most part but it wasn't exactly Top 10 on my watchlist. I won't be losing any sleep over the fate of a third season. tongue
